Suraya Foundation launched it’s first Community Tea Club in Birmingham

Birmingham: Suraya Foundation launched it’s first Community Tea Club, at Highfield Community Center, Hall Green. Especially for the Elderly in Birmingham. It was hosted by Najma Hafeez the founder and Chair of Surraya foundation. She said There are too many people over 60s in our communities, who face a reality of loneliness, isolation and neglect. This club would enable them to socialise and spend time with others in the community. Run by experienced volunteers, activities, outings and speakers would be arranged. The launch included entertainment by the popular Melody Masters International. A great launch and very enjoyable gathering. In attendance were Lubna Sarwar, Habib u Rehman, Mohammad Basharat, Shahmas, Neelam Khan, Rizwana, Billo Mirza , Mohammed Nazir, Mrs Khan, Alina Lali, Aneela Asad,Fara N, Fara K, Nusrat Rafiq, Shazia, Zyne, Fatima, Habiba, Zarina ,Rufi, Nazia, Deeba, Mazhar Iqbal and Rabina of Highfield Hall and others.
